Freelance: ShopAmex.com

Ekaria LLP managed ShopAmex.com, a large-scale U.S. e-commerce platform that allowed over 10 million Membership Rewards® Card Members to redeem points for brand-name products from hundreds of leading merchants, including Apple, Best Buy, Sephora, and Saks.

As part of the marketing team, I supported the design and execution of promotional campaigns across the site. This included:

  • Formatting merchant-supplied creative for store and brand landing pages
  • Sourcing imagery, writing copy, and building themed product lists for seasonal campaigns, including layout and inventory tracking for the digital catalogues
  • Ensuring all visual assets met brand guidelines (top names included Apple, Bose, Best Buy, Saks, and more) and rendered responsively across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints
  • Managing design variations for homepages and banners, each with specific functionality and layout constraints
  • Contributing to UI/UX improvements by designing mock-ups for updated page layouts, promotional modules, and accessibility enhancements, helping streamline user navigation

This work required exceptional attention to detail, fast adaptation to evolving promotions, and precise collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Approvals were often required from a hierarchy of stakeholders including merchants and Amex marketing and legal staff.

Note: ShopAmex.com was decommissioned on June 12, 2024 and is no longer accessible to the public.
